Website V1 update ☀️
✅Watched filter, input progress, and continue learning

1. You can now filter videos by watched / unwatched in the Video page

2. Learning progress has been added
(for now, videos still need to be marked watched manually)

You can now see:
— total input hours
— learning days this month
in “My Progress“
I’ll keep trying to improve this into a more automatic system over time 🙂

3. “Continue learning” recommendations have also been added below videos

Still improving things little by little 🌱

After thinking more about what I hope Blabla Chinese can become in the long term —
a place easier to stay around, with easier access, where you can keep getting Chinese input little by little and grow together over a long time 🌱

So I decided to lower the website membership price from $15/month to $8/month.

This will apply automatically to current members too — no need to do anything.

I’m also continuing to work on:
🍀 transcripts
🍀 watched / unwatched system
🍀 progress tracking
🍀 and making the whole learning experience smoother step by step

  • I just realized something today… many of you watch everything on your phone —
    but I had never really gone through the full experience myself

    So I tried adding the website to my home screen,
    and it actually feels much nicer — almost like an app now 🙂

    If you’re watching on your phone, you can try it too. Learn how➡️

  • Also started working on improving the video pages

    I want them to feel more like a space where you can stay longer —
    with transcripts, easier navigation, and more videos to keep going

    Still testing things, but I’m excited about this 🙂

  • A student told me yesterday after watching my latest YouTube video:
    “Wow… Amber has legs!” 😄

    Okay… now I really feel like I should do more outdoor videos haha 🙂

  • Just got back from traveling — and I made it! ✌️
    I managed to film 5 videos

    One is already up on YouTube (the “Princess” one)
    2 will be coming this week, and another 2 the week after

    Hope you’ll enjoy them — I had a lot of fun filming these 🙂

  • I was surprised to receive new teacher – Mia’s first video so soon — and it was even better than I expected! 🎉
    You’ll be seeing her here on April 5th ✌️

  • I also finished recording and editing the podcast with my friends
    It will be up on Mar 29 🙂
  • Recently I’ve been learning Openclaw Basecamp online
    I’ll join the second live session tonight — hope I can follow this time haha
    (I felt a bit dumb in the first one… hhh)
    Curious to see if AI tools can help me work more efficiently

  • Also… sorry for delaying the Super Beginner video again this week 🙈
    I’ll try to make it up soon

Next (what I’m thinking):

  • I’ll be traveling to Nanjing and Xinjiang from Mar 27 to Apr 4
    and will try filming more outdoor videos —
    I’d love to show you more of the real world outside 🙂
